Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), a global financial company offering various banking services, is laying off 133 employees at its office in Bellevue, Wash.
- A new filing with the Washington state Employment Security Department revealed the job cuts, which begin Sept. 15.
- “FIS is evolving our embedded finance strategy to prioritize delivery of embedded finance capabilities to banks,” a company spokesperson said in a statement. “As our primary client base, this shift enables bank-led embedded finance, assisting banks in serving their small and medium business (SMB) customers and driving deposits.”
- FIS, which employs more than 50,000 people worldwide, reported $2.5 billion in revenue in Q1, up 3% year-over-year.
