Grand Theft Auto 6 publisher is confident enough in its release date to brag about the ungodly amounts of money it’s about to make

Rockstar parent Take-Two Interactive has been adamant that the November 19 release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 is on track, but doubts have lingered: The game has already been delayed twice, after all. But at this point it looks solid: With just six months to go, Take-Two reaffirmed the date in today’s FY2026 financial report, and said it expects to make a lot—and let me emphasize, a lot—of money on it.

“We believe fiscal 2027 will establish new record levels of operating performance driven by the November 19th launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, along with strong execution across our portfolio,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said. “We expect to sustain this higher level of scale, generate strong cash flows, and deliver long-term shareholder value as we release our robust development pipeline, continue to optimize our live services and capitalize on new business opportunities.”

Take-Two does indeed have a lot of very valuable games and properties to its name (come on, BioShock), but GTA is the unrivalled money machine. Consider: Take-Two reported $6.72 billion in revenues for its 2026 fiscal year, exceeding the high end of its guidance range—basically, what it expected to make in the year. Take-Two’s guidance for the 2027 fiscal, though, is $8-$8.2 billion, a year-over-year hike of more than $1 billion.

“FY27 is poised to be a breakout year for Take-Two, led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto 6—arguably, the most anticipated entertainment property of all time, and we are excited that Rockstar Games will start their marketing campaign this summer,” Take-Two said.

Which makes for an easy segue into the “no news” part of the report: No trailer 3 today, no information on price, and the biggest ‘no’ of all, no confirmation of GTA 6 on PC.

Does any of that matter? If you’re reading this, it’s very likely you’ve already made up your mind about whether you’re going to buy GTA 6 (you are), whether you care how much it costs (you don’t), and whether you’re cranky about this shoddy treatment of PC gamers because you’re going to buy it on console on day one anyway (I remain cranky, but you do you). But as a matter of simply wanting to know what the hell is going on? Yeah, I think we’re all pretty damn eager for that.

Summer, for the record, starts on June 21. I don’t expect Take-Two is going to kick GTA 6 marketing off on that particular day just because Strauss Zelnick said “summer,” but I’ll be watching, just in case.
