Readers, games media’s quest to bring you word of the latest, greatest, dearest and weirdest videogames has once again taken it to distant shores. Also taking it to distant shores: an unslakeable lust for fried squid.

That’s why our pals at GamesRadar+ are bringing you a new showcase from Japan’s BitSummit Punch 2026: the BitSummit Punch Mixtape Presented by GamesRadar+. Try saying that on one lungful.

Airing on May 26 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 5 pm BST / 6 pm CET, the BitSummit Punch Mixtape is a 60-minute affair featuring interviews, trailers, world premieres—all the many delicious fruits of the videogame showcase circuit.

The show will go live on GamesRadar’s website, its YouTube channel, and its Twitch. If you can see a GR+ logo, odds are good the BitSummit Mixtape is airing there, is what I’m saying. You’ll also be able to find out more about all the games on show over at the official BitSummit Steam event page.

Which should be enough to convince you to pin the date in your diary, so far as I’m concerned, but just in case you are not yet fully tempted, consider: this year’s BitSummit theme is “High Impact.”

That is to say, this year’s theme is hitting things really hard, in the grand tradition of excellent Japanese fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken. So you better believe this year’s event is big on a new generation of devs doing the good work of making punching feel good.

But even if you’re a lover and not a fighter, it’s worth your time to tune in. The show’s got a true grab-bag of genres lined up for you on the big day, and there’s only one way to catch it all live as it happens.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

It’s tuning in. Tuning in is the only way to catch it live as it happens. Just wanted to make sure we’re clear.
